The Super Bowl

We had a great setup last night for the big game. Out in the 60-degree “winter” weather, on a neighbor’s driveway with an old big screen in the garage that we got working. An Old Smokey sitting out with some dogs, brats and burgers. Can’t go wrong with that.

Too bad the game was a dud. I am glad the Steelers won, and they did it in typical Steeler fashion (defense and a couple gadget plays), but it was just not all that entertaining. Of course, I watched it in its entirety just the same, because that’s what we sports nuts do, but I was disappointed in the overall excitement of the game. Even the commercials, after the first quarter or so, were pretty lame. The first 3-4 Bud Light commericals were classic, and Ameriquest had some great ones too, my favorite being the airplane “incident.”

Anyhow, we had a blast, kids had fun playing outside in the perfect weather, and all in all one of the better Super Sundays I’ve encountered, but the game was not what made it great, for sure.

Cheers,
MD
